" A very professional lady. She gave me the best foundation course, providing me with an excellent grounding for my career. it was a privilege to study with her. "

Joanne Thompson - a student with Anne for nearly 10 yearsnow working in America
Guildford School of Theatre, Best Student of the Year, Drama/Dance Teacher

" I went to Anne's workshop without any experience of the stage. I soon found myself not only acting but dierecting, writing short plays and taking part in productions. Anne has the ability to make you believe you can achieve anything and continues to stretch you just a little more each time. The result was that I surprised myself. Thank you Anne for helping me to prove to myself that I could do it. "

School Performances

Each class performs either their own original play at Christmas, which they are encouraged to write, or adapt their own production of a major playwright. These are performed at our own theatre and taken out to nursing homes and to St Giles Hospice.

The students then perform again within the year at their prestigious Presentation Evening at the Town Hall or the Brewhouse Arts Centre in which all students are also presented with their individual awards from the Mayor of Burton.

Theatre Trips

The school aims to give each student as much experience of good professional theatre. Trips to the Royal Ballet, Nottingham Theatre Royal and The Royal Shakespeare Company are amongst many that the students have enjoyed throughout the years.
